Prof. Dr. Elliot S. Gershon

Dr. Elliot S. Gershon was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Society for Psychiatric Genetics. He has been the Chief of Section on Psychogenetics, Biological Psychiatry Branch, National Institute of Mental Health, and the director of the U.S. Office of Science and Senior Science Advisor Alcohol, Drug Abuse, and Mental Health Administration. He has also served as the Chief of the U.S. Clinical Neurogenetics Branch of the National Institute of Mental Health. Dr. Gershon was the Chairman of Department of Psychiatry at the University of Chicago, and was the president of American Psychopathological Association.
